MIMO support
MIMO 2x2 DAS design systems can now be modeled adequately using iBwave Design. Simply select the MIMO option on LTE, WiMAX, HSPA+ and Wi-Fi system configurations to create a base station with a second port. The Components Database has also been updated to support different MIMO deployment scenarios. Output maps will also be adjusted automatically to demonstrate the benefits of MIMO.
Capacity Analysis
Users can now model subscribers according to the types of cellular services they use, such as voice, email, video streaming and more. These services are assigned to users who are positioned at random in your building environment by way of Monte Carlo analysis. The new capacity report estimates the download capacity of each cellular service by sector. These results are shown by number of users, download throughput (kbps), as well as Erlangs for voice services. The outcome will validate whether the capacity being offered by your wireless network will meet the expected indoor traffic.
Building format standard for collection tools
iBwave Design now supports a new file exchange format that simplifies the transfer process of building and DAS information to collection tools. Working in partnership with leading collection tool vendors, our goal is to facilitate the information transfer process from one tool to another. With this new feature, you only have one file to manipulate, significantly reducing the number of conversion tasks required. Many collection tool vendors have already included the support of this new format as part of their next release.
Customized system labeling by: ID, operator, technology, band, etc.
By choosing your preferred specification, the new labeling feature empowers you to identify your wireless service with a label that is meaningful to you. The new system labels will be used in all areas of the software including the output map tree, map legends, reports, and more. This functionality will increase convenience when working on designs that combine multiple operators, technologies and bands.
Cell codes
PN Codes, Scrambling Codes and Cell ID, can now be stored as part of the configuration of your cellular services. Tracking this essential metric will make it easier to distinguish sectors of the same technology.
Improved Electromagnetic Field (EMF) report.
The report can now consider all bands and technologies for the thorough evaluation of antenna security distances. The total composite power emissions are also available for each antenna.
