ISSUE

Microsoft included .NET Framework Version 4.0 in a Windows Update recently for users running Windows Vista or Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit). Even if iBwave Design and iBwave Field are developed with this framework, Version 4.0 is not yet compatible with our applications.

If the Windows Automatic Update feature is configured to run automatically, .NET Framework 4.0 might have been installed1, causing a critical error (Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application) when accessing iBwave Design or iBwave Field.

Note: This issue does not apply to Windows XP users.

SOLUTION

If the .NET 4.0 Framework version is installed on your computer, uninstall this component until iBwave creates a service release to fix this situation.

	Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features
	Remove Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile
